As someone that struggles with their mental health you may often feel entirely alone.

Mental health resources can be hard to come by.  Especially in a day where everywhere you turn may negatively affect your mental health.  You may be constantly bombarded with advertisements that reinforce negative beliefs, or trigger you into a spiral.

Whatever the case may be, there are no enough free mental health resources.

Luckily with the rise of Instagram there is a rise in free resources.  There are a lot of counselors putting very valuable information on their profiles in order to help those in need.

Some great counselors on Instagram to follow are:

Please note that these are Instagram accounts of counselors that provide valuable information.  They ARE NOT providing therapy through instagram.

Each of the accounts are ones in which I feel provide valuable information as a free mental health resource.

Mental health resources online can also be using an online therapy app.  There are a few to choose from, and it would allow you access to a therapist that could help you.

Two of the most widely used online talk therapy apps are:

TalkSpace

BetterHelp

For online psychiatry you may try MDLive, which offers psychiatry services.  When you are looking for the proper diagnosis and medications this could be very beneficial.  Often once you are prescribed medications you will have to see your doctor routinely, and that can be challenging with the busy schedule we often have.

Having such a wide variety of mental health resources online has become a huge benefit to the society and will undoubtedly help move the field forward.

These are apps and mental health resources, although they are not free, they are affordable therapy solutions.  Please note they are online therapy, and are mental health services.

I have not used either of these, but have heard from many that they use them and have found great benefit.

There is nothing comparable to therapy.  Having an unbiased person to talk with that can help you digest issues in your life and understand any patterns you may be experiencing.

Another great form of free online mental health resources are podcasts.

Some great ones are:

Self Work:

Dear therapists:

Mark Groves:

Emotional Badass:

Many of those struggling with their mental health feel alone, and as though they are the only one struggling.  The truth is they are not.  Far too many people are struggling in silence.

I have created an online mental health support community.  This is a free online mental health resource.  It’s a safe space to share as you feel open to.  If you would like to join please follow this link

I hope that these resources provide you some help on your journey.
