10 essential items for living in your van
Wet Wipes
You will go through your fair share of wet wipes. Unless you have a shower in your van. But honestly these are a lifesaver, sure it’s not the same as a shower but you can get vital areas.
Reusable Water Bottle
Everywhere you go you will want to get your water bottle filled. This will help reduce how much water you are actually taking out of your water source. Most gas stations will let you get free water, parks sometimes have water filter stations.
Any coffee maker that ISN’T electric.
The last thing you want is to use up your battery on a coffee maker. I love using my pour over, because it’s easy enough for first thing in the morning and also I can create a lot of coffee. Other great options are an Aeropress or a French Press. People also really like the Percolator. No matter your coffee preference, you will enjoy anything that isn’t a Coffee Maker.
Battery powered string lights
These little lights are the greatest, you don’t have to use them from your batteries, and they give just enough light.
There are also options that you can have rechargeable string lights. Which are great because you can take them inside and out.
Bottom line is you will want dim lighting inside your van that doesn’t pull off your batteries.
Camp Chair
Believe it or not, you will want to sit outside your van. It’s tough to be inside all day, and when it’s nice outside you’ll want to pull out the chair and get some work done. This is also great when you’re with a group of people then you form the circle and can all sit around the fire.
Portable Speaker
You may want just a little one for everyday use in the van. There are so many you can choose from.
Then if you want to really amp up your outdoor game you can go with a larger speaker.
Clorox Wipes
You will spill, a lot. There will be a lot of dirt. These will be your best friend.
Tiny Brush and Dust Pan
The little brush will come in handy in all the tiny spaces. Dirt is inevitable. Trying to sweep regularly is the best way to try and mitigate a massive build up.
Coconut Oil
For everything you really need. Cooking, sunburn saver and body lotion. It’s really all you need, and when in a van having multi purpose is one of the greatest things to find.
Wifi Hotspot and Cell Phone Booster
You will want wifi, and many people like having a cell phone booster to ensure they get a good connection no matter where they go. I have the Verizon jetpack hotspot, and when I can will be going with this cell phone booster. Trust me even though you live in a van you will want nights in watching Netflix.
